Door

He envelopes her frame
And she ignores the lens
He softly spells her name
She’s just glad they are friends
The moment is sealed away
Before she realises
He waits about a day
Before he lets her see it

I stare down my own lens
Their tale has many ends
I maltreated my heart’s thief
And now behold my grief

She sees her past in limbo
She wants to let me go
The picture makes her smile
She just transfers the file
Why should I have it hidden?
She reflects, thumbing buttons.
This one had been her shade
Decisions had been made.

I save this piece of torture
I must recall its candor
I look into his game
And softly sigh her name.
